Common Symptoms of Brain Cancer

There are two main types of brain cancer, also called Glioma or Meningioma.

- Primary brain cancer: this starts in the brain.
- Metastatic brain cancer: this starts in other parts of the body and moves to the brain.

Brain tumors can be benign–with no cancer cells, or malignant–with cancer cells that grow quickly.

Some of the most common symptoms of brain tumors:

* Headaches that are usually worse in the morning
* Vomiting and nausea
* Remarkable changes in ability to talk, see, or hear
* Problems with walking or balance
* Problems with memory or thinking
* Twitching or jerking of muscle
* Tingling or numbness in legs or arms

The exact causes of brain tumors are still unknown. Doctors have difficulty explaining why one person develops a brain tumor while another does not.
