Dealing with terminal brain cancer (Part 2)
Other themes that cropped out of the research are as follows:
- patients and their families learned valuable lessons in dealing and coping with the disease. Despite the terrifying disease, the respondents remain positive, and focus on the good things that came as a result of having the disease, like enjoying every minute of their lives while it last
- they learned that quality of life is more important than quantity, they would rather enjoy their remaining days with their families rather than prolonging the agony and living like a vegetable. Some would prefer to avoid some treatment if it will affect their quality of life.
I would choose normal function for less time, without any question.
